SLO #1
Reviewing and Editing
Repeated revisions helped me ensure that my work was polished and error-free. I used editing tools and peer feedback to catch mistakes I might have overlooked. I would have to say that this particular part was the most time consuming.
Project Planning
First, I had to chose a topic that I am passionate about. Due to their demanding schedules, I arranged separate meetings with each pastor on different days. I prepared relevant questions to facilitate our discussion.
Content Development
My content was an audio voice–recorded interview about homelessness, which fits within the genre of journalistic or documentary-style media. By using an interview format, I allowed the subject’s own words, tone, and emotion to convey information about homelessness in a more personal and impactful way. Additionally, the audio medium requires careful attention to pacing, clarity, and questioning strategies to effectively convey meaning without visual support, but at the same time keeping my audience engaged.
